We're not saying that you have to be psychic to excel at poker, but it would help. Unfortunately, playing poker online removes the "poker face" element of the game, but you can still get a read on the other people sitting at the table. Watch how fast they play, and how much they bet. It's fair to assume that a rookie with a great hand is going to put everything they have on that hand.
